Sinopsis
Rei Kiriyama (Ryunosuke Kamiki) adalah pemain shogi (catur) berusia 17 tahun. Ia memulai debutnya sebagai pemain shogi profesional saat ia berada di sekolah menengah. Dia tinggal sendiri di Tokyo, karena orang tua dan adik perempuannya meninggal dalam kecelakaan lalu lintas saat dia masih kecil. Suatu hari, Rei Kiriyama bertemu dengan tiga saudara perempuan yang merupakan tetangganya. Ketiga suster tersebut adalah Akari Kawamoto, Hinata Kawamoto dan Momo Kawamoto. Ini adalah pertemuan pertamanya dengan seseorang di luar dunia shogi selama bertahun-tahun. Makan bersama keluarga Kawamoto membawa perasaan hangat kepada Rei Kiriyama. Seiring Rei Kiriyama melanjutkan karir shogi, interaksinya dengan tetangganya memungkinkan dia tumbuh sebagai pemain shogi dan sebagai pribadi.
